Have yet to see our book trailer? You’re in for a treat!
And if you have seen it, the experience is worth repeating, and repeating…
A little over a year ago, on September 10, 2022, I spent one of the most memorable days of my life on North Beach in Inverness, CA when my husband, Rob Roehrick, and I produced the book trailer for my debut novel, The Peach Seed. When we began the day at 8AM, most of our multicultural, multigenerational cast and crew were strangers to each other, but by the time we wrapped nine hours later, we had become well acquainted and created what would become a stunning 1:52 minute cinematic book trailer. Read more in this earlier post.
I’m extremely proud of the work we did on this trailer, and grateful to all who poured their heartfelt energy into the project. Now that the novel is out in the world, the trailer will resonate even more deeply with those who have read or listened to the story.
Thanks to the passion and expertise of my dear friend and veteran Assistant Director, Annie Spiegelman (above, Left) and the dynamic Director she hand-picked, D’Adonis Moquette (above right), our shoot was strictly professional from the first shot to the last edit, executed by the virtuoso Richie Blasco.
I am still in the throes of touring—including an encore event today at Yema Clothing Store, 4PM, 10 Main Street, Tiburon, CA— so I can attest to the thrills and challenges of book promotion—definitely ain’t easy! Our trailer continues to be my muse and my therapy; entertains, emotes and energizes. I watch it often and urge you to do the same.
