Every morning, I wake up early here in the Pacific time zone to check email for news from the East, and lately, I have not been disappointed! With our pub date just over six weeks away—August 1st— things are ratcheting up. Everyone on my Peachy Team at Henry Holt is thrilled with the review from Publishers Weekly.
Last week I was on automatic, driving every day to San Francisco’s Chinatown to record the audiobook at a very cool sound studio: Disher Sound, where Tom Disher was the utmost host. My BFF, Annie Spiegelman (who was 1st AD on our book trailer) provided door-to-door car service my first day. So nice✨ Felt like my big sister dropped me off at college! Many thanks to our director, Peter Straub who Zoomed in from L.A., and sound engineer, Patrick Fitzgerald of Polarity Post Production. The story and I were in excellent hands with their laser-focused expertise. The audio book will be available very soon. I’m working on an essay about the experience, so stay tuned.

…The world in this debut novel feels so lived in. Readers are drawn in by gorgeous passages about landscapes that dance with all five senses.”
